President Tinubu Extends Condolences to Iran Following Helicopter Crash Tragedy

Abuja, Nigeria – President Bola Tinubu has expressed his heartfelt condolences to the government and people of the Islamic Republic of Iran following the tragic death of President Ebrahim Raisi. Raisi, along with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials, died in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

In a statement released by Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, President Tinubu conveyed his profound grief over the incident, describing President Raisi as a dedicated leader committed to Iran’s development.

“President Tinubu extends his deepest sympathies to the bereaved families and the people of Iran,” the statement read. “He prays for the continuous peace, stability, and prosperity of the Iranian nation during this difficult time.”

The President assured the Islamic Republic of Iran of Nigeria’s support and prayers, emphasizing the solidarity between the two nations in this moment of mourning.
