EPL: I really like him – Alan Shearer gives verdict on Arsenal’s newest signing

Premier League legend Alan Shearer has hailed the signing of Jorginho by Arsenal.

Shearer believes the Italy International will bring his wealth of experience to the Gunners as they chase the Premier League and Europa League titles.

Jorginho joined the Gunners from Chelsea in a £12m move on the winter transfer window deadline day.

Jorginho played more than 200 games for Chelsea during his five-year spell in west London.

He won the Champions League, Europa League, Club World Cup and Super Cup at Stamford Bridge.

“I really do like the Jorginho signing. He will bring a wealth of experience and that know-how to win and to get over the line,” Shearer told BBC.

“They are still going to be big questions and big times to navigate over the coming months.

“So who better to get in January than a guy like Jorginho who has been there and done it at every level.”
