Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola has confidently predicted that former City captain Vincent Kompany will one day manage the Premier League champions. Guardiola’s comments came in light of rumours about Kompany’s potential move from managing Burnley to taking over at Bayern Munich.
“Vincent Kompany will become a future Man City manager, mark my words,” Guardiola declared. “Yeah, it will happen for sure. You will call me when this is going to happen.”
Guardiola expressed his high regard for Kompany’s managerial skills, despite the Belgian’s setback with Burnley facing relegation. “It doesn’t matter if he was relegated with Burnley,” Guardiola said. “I have a high opinion about his work, as a person, his personality, knowledge of the game, how he handles the media… I’d be happy to see Kompany at Bayern.”
Kompany, a celebrated figure at Manchester City, has been making waves in his managerial career, and Guardiola’s endorsement only adds to the anticipation of his return to the Premier League as a manager.
