Deposed Emir of Kano Calls for Justice Amidst Emirate Crisis

Kano, Nigeria – Aminu Ado-Bayero, the deposed Emir of Kano, has spoken out on the ongoing crisis surrounding the emirates in the state, emphasizing the importance of justice prevailing.

Governor Abba Yusuf’s decision to dethrone Bayero as the 15th Emir of Kano sparked controversy and unrest. However, Bayero, speaking from the mini-palace where he has returned to after his dethronement, urged residents to maintain law and order while awaiting the resolution of the legal process.

In his address on Saturday, Bayero stressed the need for justice to be served, asserting that nobody is above the law. He called upon the relevant authorities to ensure a fair and just outcome, underscoring the significance of Kano’s influence on Nigeria.

Bayero’s message resonated with a plea for peace in Kano, acknowledging the importance of responsible leadership and adherence to the rule of law. He expressed gratitude for the support shown by the people and reaffirmed his commitment to accepting the decision of the law.

“We call on the authority to do justice in this matter. Kano is a very influential state in Nigeria. Whatever affects Kano affects Nigeria. May peace reign in Kano. We pray for Allah to bless Kano with responsible and just leaders,” Bayero stated.

He reiterated his faith in the justice system and urged continued prayers for peace in Kano State, invoking the protection of Allah.
