Chelsea are in advanced discussions to appoint Leicester City manager Enzo Maresca as the successor to Mauricio Pochettino.
The 44-year-old Italian, who took charge of Leicester City in June 2023, has just successfully guided the Foxes back to the Premier League by winning the Championship at the first attempt.
Maresca has expressed interest in the Chelsea position, with negotiations between the two clubs ongoing. This development comes 24 hours after Ipswich Town manager Kieran McKenna withdrew from the race for the role.
Despite the focus on Maresca, former Brighton manager Roberto de Zerbi and Brentford’s Thomas Frank remain under consideration.
Pochettino departed Chelsea by mutual consent last week after finishing sixth in the Premier League during his sole season in charge.
