Enugu, Nigeria – Fidelis Ilechukwu, head coach of Rangers International Football Club, has commended Kenneth Igboke following his recent invitation to the Super Eagles squad for the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against South Africa and Benin Republic.
Igboke, a left-back for Rangers, was added to the Super Eagles squad by head coach Finidi George on Tuesday after Victor Osimhen was ruled out of the games due to injury.
In a congratulatory message to Igboke on social media platform X, Coach Ilechukwu praised the defender for his hard work and expressed confidence in his abilities.
“Congratulations Kenneth Igboke on your first National team call-up. This is a reward for hard work. I have no doubt in your ability from day 1. I believe you will make me and the @Rangers_Intl family proud in the National team. I wish you all the best sabi player,” Ilechukwu wrote.
Igboke, who has scored three goals for Rangers this season, is expected to join up with the Super Eagles squad this weekend as they prepare for the crucial World Cup qualifiers.
