The arrest occurred at Schiphol airport as Minaj was about to depart for Manchester on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour. She was detained for several hours before being released after paying a fine.
Concert promoters MOJO announced the cancellation of the Amsterdam show, scheduled for June 2nd at Ziggo Dome, citing the events of last week. Ticket refunds will be provided at the point of sale, according to the promoters.
Minaj took to social media platform X to explain that authorities found weed in her luggage, which she claimed belonged to her security guard. She expressed frustration that her bags were searched without consent.
