Nigeria midfielder Tom Dele-Bashiru is on the verge of signing a new three-year contract with Sky Bet Championship club Watford. According to Sky Sports, Dele-Bashiru’s representatives and Watford are finalizing the details of the contract.
The 24-year-old joined Watford from Manchester City in 2019 and had his best campaign for the Hornets last season. Dele-Bashiru scored two goals and provided four assists in 35 league appearances, showcasing his playmaking abilities.
Dele-Bashiru has represented Nigeria at both the U-20 and U-23 levels. His younger brother, Fisayo, also made headlines recently by scoring Nigeria’s only goal in the 1-1 draw with South Africa on Friday.
The new contract is expected to solidify Dele-Bashiru’s place in Watford’s squad as they aim for success in the upcoming season.
