Bahati Opens Up About Choosing His Wife Diana Marua and Their Relationship Challenges

Veteran singer Bahati has revealed intimate details about his relationship with his wife, Diana Marua, and the considerations he made before marrying her. The father of five shared his preference for older women and recounted some challenging moments in their relationship.

Bahati, known for his gospel music career, said he introduced Diana Marua to the public as his prayer partner to ensure acceptance within the church community. At the time, Bahati was deeply involved in gospel music, and it was important for him to have a partner who shared his faith.

“I had two criteria for choosing a wife,” Bahati explained. “First, she had to be saved. Secondly, she had to be older than me. Somehow just to confess, I love my women older.”

During their Netflix reality show, The Bahati’s Empire, Bahati disclosed that while dating Diana, he once took her to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (JKIA), where she was meeting her other boyfriend. “She thinks I never knew. But I’m the only one available now,” he added.

Bahati also claimed that Diana once left their matrimonial home with their three-month-old baby and moved into one of her ex’s houses. This incident led to a clash between the couple, with Diana asserting that Bahati had chased her away, leaving her homeless.

Despite these challenges, Bahati and Diana continue to share their journey with the public. Recently, they unveiled their daughter Malaika’s face during their Netflix show, sharing lovely family portraits of their youngest child.
