Nigeria’s foreign trade, comprising imports and exports, reached N31.810.56 billion in the first quarter of 2024, according to the latest foreign trade in goods report by the National Bureau of Statistics.

The total imports stood at N12,643.23 billion, marking a 39.65 percent increase compared to the value recorded in Q4, 2023, which was N9,053.78 billion.

Meanwhile, exports recorded at N19,167.40 billion, showing a 51.00 percent increase compared to N12,693. 62 billion in the previous quarter.

Media Talk Africa reports that Nigeria achieved a trade surplus in the first quarter of 2024.
