Summer Transfer Window Opens as Premier League and Scottish Premiership Synchronise with Europe

The summer transfer window officially opens today, Monday, 1 July, allowing clubs until 30 August to finalise their deals.

The Premier League and Scottish Premiership have moved their Deadline Day forward to align with major European leagues, following discussions with their counterparts in England, Germany, Italy, Spain, and France.

The 2024/2025 Premier League season kicks off on Friday, 16 August and concludes on Sunday, 25 May 2025. This season will span 33 weekends, including four midweek rounds and one Bank Holiday matchweek.

Manchester City and Manchester United will face off in the Community Shield on Saturday, 10 August. The Carabao Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, 16 March, with the FA Cup final set for Saturday, 17 May.
