Real Madrid Secure One-Year Extensions for Two Players

Real Madrid have finalised agreements to extend the contracts of Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez for another season, keeping both players at the club for the 2024/2025 campaign.

With their contracts set to expire on Monday, 1 July, the LaLiga champions have opted to extend the deals of the veteran midfielder and the versatile winger by an additional year.

Football transfer expert Fabrizio Romano confirmed the news, revealing that an official announcement is expected shortly. Romano tweeted on Monday: “Real Madrid are set to confirm new contracts for Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez, all sealed for both of them. Club statement to follow, Modric and Vazquez are both staying.”

The extensions ensure that both Modric and Vazquez will remain key figures in Carlo Ancelotti’s squad for the upcoming season.
