Afrobeats star Davido has expressed disappointment over the difference between the money sprayed at his wedding and the amount he and his wife, Chioma, actually took home.

In a recent comment on a video showing guests showering money on the couple during their lavish wedding on June 25, 2024, Davido lamented that the funds collected did not match up to the amounts shown in the video.

The wedding, a grand affair attended by dignitaries from across various sectors, saw a flurry of dollar bills being sprayed on the couple due to Nigeria’s Naira mutilation laws, which restrict the use of local currency in large transactions.

Reacting to the video, Davido wrote, “The video of all the money dem spray is and wetin we carry go house no dey tally.” [sic].

Despite the discrepancy, the wedding was a notable event, showcasing a blend of opulence and traditional celebrations.
