Trabzonspor Still Pursuing Permanent Transfer of Paul Onuachu

Trabzonspor manager, Abdullah Avci, has confirmed that the club is still working hard to sign forward Paul Onuachu from Southampton. Onuachu spent last season on loan at Trabzonspor, where he made a significant impact by scoring 15 goals for the former Turkish Super Lig champions.

Despite their efforts, Trabzonspor has struggled to meet Southampton’s asking price for a permanent transfer. Southampton is demanding £15 million, the same fee they paid to acquire Onuachu from Belgian Pro League outfit, KRC Genk, in January 2023.

“We spoke with Paul Onuachu 3-4 days ago; he also wishes to join us. At this moment, I cannot confirm if it will happen or not. Our president is working diligently on this matter. We need to be patient,” Avci told Sabah Spor.
