Nigerian disc jockey Florence Otedola, better known as DJ Cuppy, has shared that she is being begged by people to reconsider her plans to pursue a fourth degree at the age of 31. The revelation came after DJ Cuppy recently announced her intention to return to academia to further her education.

In a post on X, DJ Cuppy humorously noted the reactions to her educational ambitions, writing: “People are really begging me not to go back to school for a 4th degree [laughing emoji]. LMAO.” The response reflects a range of opinions from her followers, with some encouraging her to leverage her existing knowledge and achievements instead of seeking additional academic accolades.

DJ Cuppy’s educational background is impressive: she graduated from Oxford University with a Master’s in African Studies in 2023. She also holds a degree in Business and Economics from King’s College, London, earned in July 2014, and a Master’s degree in Music Business from New York University, which she completed in 2015.

The mixed reactions to her latest academic pursuit reveal a broader debate on the value of higher education versus practical experience in achieving success.
