Nigerian Troops Neutralise Terrorist in Counter-Terrorism Operations

In a recent operation, troops deployed for counter-terrorism operations in Kaduna State, Nigeria, have succeeded in neutralising one terrorist and thwarting their plans to unleash chaos in the region.

The successful operation, which took place on Thursday, comes as a result of credible intelligence gathered by the Nigerian Army. According to a statement released on their social media platform, the troops were tactically positioned along the terrorists’ axis of movement in Mallum Forest.

As the terrorist gang emerged from the forest using an alternate route, they were engaged by the troops with heavy fire. One of the terrorists was neutralised, while the rest fled into the nearby forest, having been thwarted in their nefarious plan to attack innocent civilians.

The seized weapons and ammunition included one AK-47 rifle, five AK-47 rifle magazines, 18 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, 19 rounds of 7.62mm NATO ammunition, as well as two motorbikes, one phone, head warmers, face masks, and a magazine jacket.

The Nigerian Army has intensified its presence in the area to prevent further threats, ensuring the safety and security of its civilians.

The successful operation serves as a stark reminder of the Nigerian Army’s commitment to curtailing terrorism and protecting the well-being of its citizens.
