Delta State Council Election Goes Peaceful

Peaceful Delta State Council Election, Says Former Chairman

The Delta State council election in Nigeria has gotten off to a peaceful start, according to the immediate past chairman of Warri South Local Government Area, Dr Michael Tidi. Speaking with newsmen shortly after casting his vote at Edjeba Ward, Unit 9, Ward 10, Tidi described the election as peaceful across the state.

Tidi commended the massive turnout of voters, calling it "impressive." He also acknowledged the significant presence of security agents, praising the Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda, for effectively deploying his men to maintain order.

The former chairman expressed his gratitude to eligible voters, saying that they had done a great job by coming out in large numbers to exercise their right to vote. "That was very good and we are quite sure of victory for our party. From the information we’ve gotten so far, we are already coasting to victory. So, I want to thank them," Tidi said.

As the election continues, the peaceful atmosphere and high voter turnout are encouraging signs for the democratic process in Nigeria.
