Kidnappers Abduct Three in Anambra State, Police Launch Manhunt
In a shocking turn of events, kidnappers have abducted at least three people at different locations in Anambra State, Nigeria. The abductions occurred on Saturday, with the victims being taken away by masked gunmen.
According to eyewitnesses, the kidnappers used a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) to double-cross the victims, dragging them out of their own vehicles and into their waiting vehicle. The videos circulating on social media show the masked gunmen ordering the victims out of their vehicles and into their waiting vehicles.
The Anambra State Police Command has launched a manhunt for the kidnappers, with the police responding team recovering the abandoned victim’s vehicles and placing joint security measures in place to forestall similar incidents in the state.
In a statement, the police spokesman, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said that efforts are ongoing to arrest the assailants and rescue the victims. He also vowed that the police command will leave no stone unturned in hunting down the kidnappers.
The Commissioner of Police in Anambra State, CP Nnaghe Obono Itam, has directed the command’s tactical teams to redouble their efforts to deprive the kidnappers of any space they desire to perpetrate their evil acts.
