The operation, carried out on July 12, 2024, targeted terrorist Alhaji Layi’s enclave in Kufan Shantu Village, Giwa Local Government Area (LGA) of Kaduna State.

According to a statement by Air Vice Marshal Edward Gabkwet, Director of Public Relations and Information, Nigerian Air Force, several terrorists were observed within the location and eliminated, while their thatched roofed huts were burnt down, and their logistics tucked under thick foliage were destroyed.

The operation was carried out with thorough credible human intelligence, along with intelligence surveillance and reconnaissance operations.

The Nigerian Air Force, alongside surface forces, will maintain dominance in the battlespace through extensive situational awareness, regular patrols, and targeted interdiction of terrorists’ safe havens in its Area of Responsibility and neighboring states.
