Kano Pillars Fires Newly Appointed Coach Paul Offor Following Government Intervention

Uncertainty Shrouds Kano Pillars’ Coaching Appointment

In a sudden twist, the appointment of Paul Offor as the new head coach of Nigeria’s Kano Pillars has been dismissed by the state government, plunging the team into uncertainty.

According to Wasilu Kawo, a member of the club’s media and marketing committee, the state government has terminated the contract of the former Sporting Lagos head coach. Kawo disclosed this in a statement on the official platform of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Kano chapter.

The statement explained that the contracting and unveiling of Paul Offor were carried out without proper dealings with the relevant arms of government responsible for supervising the club’s activities. This move comes just days after the sacked Kano Pillars board unveiled Offor at a ceremony in Kano on Saturday, as reported by Media Talk Africa.

The sudden turn of events leaves the team’s future unclear, with fans and stakeholders awaiting further developments. The Kano Pillars management is expected to make a statement on the matter in the coming days.
