APC Vows to Capture Remaining States in South East Zone
The All Progressives Congress (APC) is set to make a comeback in the South East zone, according to Ijeomah Arodiogbu, the National Vice Chairman of the party in the region. In a recent interview, Arodiogbu expressed confidence in the party’s prospects, stating that the zone is "set to capture the remaining states in the zone."
The APC is eyeing Anambra state in the 2024 elections, with Arodiogbu assuring that the party has put in place mechanisms to ensure victory. He also hinted that Abia and Enugu states would follow suit in the 2027 general elections.
Arodiogbu emphasized the party’s determination to correct its mistakes of the past, particularly in the 2023 elections. "We have a number of positives for the party in the zone, and we hope that these will translate to victory," he said.
The APC has been making significant strides in the region, with the continuous mobilization of members in various states resulting in a number of stalwarts decamping into the party’s progressive fold.
With the party’s sights set on regaining its foothold in the South East zone, Arodiogbu’s comments signal a renewed push for victory in the region. Only time will tell if the APC’s efforts will pay off, but for now, the party remains optimistic about its chances.
