New ‘Rose’ Colourway Could Replace an Existing Finish for iPhone 16 Pro
Apple’s upcoming iPhone 16 Pro series may feature a new ‘Rose’ colourway, according to a recent claim on social media. This new option could replace one of the existing finishes, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are expected to retain the same colours as their predecessors.
The rumour emerges from a post on the Chinese social media platform Weibo by tipster OvO Baby Sauce OvO. In the post, OvO suggests that Apple may drop the Blue Titanium finish, which was introduced last year, in favour of the ‘Rose’ option. If true, the new ‘Rose’ finish would join black, grey, and silver/white as the available options for the iPhone 16 Pro.
This development follows a previous suggestion by supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who hinted at a new ‘Rose’ Titanium colourway for Apple’s next iPhone series.
Moving beyond the colour options, the iPhone 16 Pro is expected to receive some significant upgrades, including a larger and brighter display. According to reports, the screen size could bump up from 6.1-inch to 6.27-inch, while the peak brightness would increase to 1,200 nits, representing a 20% improvement. Moreover, the camera system is said to get an update, with Apple likely to introduce the 5X telephoto sensor from the iPhone 15 Pro Max to the iPhone 16 Pro.
