Maikaba Returns to Wikki Tourist as Nigeria National League Manager

Wikki Tourist Lands Experienced Manager Abdullahi Maikaba

Abdullahi Maikaba, a 59-year-old seasoned football tactician, has accepted an offer to manage Nigeria National League side Wikki Tourist, according to reports. This marks Maikaba’s second stint with the club, following his previous tenure in 2016.

Maikaba’s return to Wikki Tourist comes after the team failed to secure promotion to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) last season. The team finished third in the NNL Northern Conference Group A table, prompting the need for a new manager to lead the team forward.

The experienced gaffer is expected to be unveiled as the new technical adviser of Bauchi Elephants later this week. Maikaba’s extensive experience in the NPFL, where he has managed several clubs including Kano Pillars, Rangers, Plateau United, Akwa United, and Enyimba, makes him an attractive candidate for the role.

Maikaba’s appointment is seen as a boost for Wikki Tourist, who are eager to bounce back from their disappointing finish last season. With his wealth of experience and knowledge of the Nigerian football landscape, Maikaba is well-positioned to lead the team to success in the NNL.
