APC Chairman Ganduje Urges Party Chieftains to Work Together for Victory in 2025 Anambra Governorship Election
In a bid to re-organize and unite party members ahead of the 2025 governorship election in Anambra, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), has called on chieftains and stakeholders of the party to work together to secure victory.
The APC national chairman made the plea during the inauguration of the Anambra Consultative Council held in Abuja on Wednesday. According to him, Anambra is one of the most strategic states in the country and must not be allowed to remain in the hands of the opposition parties, including the ruling All Progressives Grand Alliance-led government of Governor Charles Soludo.
Ganduje emphasized that the South East region is due to be at the mainstream of national politics and cannot afford to remain on the fringes. He added that the strategic nature of Anambra in the South East and Nigeria makes it expedient for the state to join the centre.
The Chairman of Anambra APC, Chief Basil Ejidike, shared the same position, charging the newly inaugurated members of the Anambra Consultative Council to live up to expectations and justify the confidence reposed in them by the party.
Ejidike added that the council comprises distinguished elders and leaders of the party with vast knowledge and experience in party politics and governance. He described convening the council as a sure way of fostering unity, bonding, and fraternal understanding for the overall benefit of the APC.
Ganduje concluded by assuring the party that the national headquarters will provide necessary support to ensure the party’s victory in the 2025 gubernatorial election. He also encouraged the party members to draw up strategies to collectively confront the challenge of taking over the seat of governance in Anambra State.
The event was attended by notable party chieftains, including National Deputy Chairman (South), Chief Emma Eneukwu; National Vice Chairman (South East), Dr. ljeoma Arodiogbu; Minister of Women Affairs, Uju Kennedy-Ohaneye; and Deputy National Organising Secretary of the APC, Nze Chidi Duru.
