Airtel Introduces Unlimited 5G Data Booster Packs in India
Airtel, a leading telecommunications provider in India, has announced the launch of new data booster packs that will offer unlimited 5G access to users. These packs are designed to provide customers without existing 5G plans with access to unlimited 5G connectivity. Additionally, users will also receive extra 4G data to complement the unlimited 5G data.
The new booster packs, priced starting at Rs. 51, are available in three variants: Rs. 51, Rs. 101, and Rs. 151. Each pack comes with additional 4G data allowance of 3GB, 6GB, and 9GB, respectively. The validity of these booster packs matches the existing plan that the user is currently on.
For instance, if a customer is on a Rs. 929 plan that offers 1.5GB 4G data per day for 90 days, and has a plan expiration date of October 15, they can opt for the Rs. 101 unlimited 5G booster pack. The unlimited 5G connectivity support will be valid until October 15, and the additional 6GB 4G data will also be valid for the same period.
The introduction of these unlimited 5G data booster packs is seen as a response to the recent price hike by Airtel for postpaid and prepaid recharge plans. The hike limited unlimited 5G access to plans with a minimum of 2GB of daily data. The new booster packs will now allow users on lower data plans to access unlimited 5G connectivity.
Airtel’s move is expected to enhance the competitiveness in the Indian telecom market, where 5G adoption has been gaining momentum. The launch of these unlimited 5G data booster packs will provide customers with more flexibility and options to enjoy high-speed data services.
