Umahi Endorses APC Candidacies in Ebonyi Local Governance Elections

Nigerian Minister Commends Governor for Sustaining Democratic Governance

In a recent statement, Engr David Umahi, the Minister of Works, commended the Governor of Ebonyi State, Francis Nwifuru, for his efforts in sustaining democratic governance in the state’s local government system. Umahi made the commendation after casting his vote at his polling unit in Ohaozara Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

The Minister expressed confidence that the Chairmanship and Councillorship candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) would emerge victorious, citing the governance records of the State Governor, which have endeared his government to the people of the state. Umahi’s statement comes ahead of the upcoming elections in the state.

In his remarks, Umahi also urged Nigerians to continue supporting the Renewed Hope agenda of the administration of President Bola Tinubu, who he said came on board at a challenging moment in Nigeria’s history. The President, according to Umahi, is determined to create lasting infrastructure for economic advancement.

The Minister’s endorsement of the APC candidates and the Renewed Hope agenda is seen as a significant boost to the party’s chances in the upcoming elections. The APC has been in power in Ebonyi State since 2015, and the party is expected to retain its grip on the state.

The development is significant not only for the people of Ebonyi State but also for the entire country, as it highlights the importance of democratic governance and the need for sustained support for leaders who are committed to the development of their states and the nation as a whole.
