Lucas Bahdi Pulls Off Stunning Knockout to Beat Ashton Sylve
In a shocking turn of events, Lucas “Prince” Bahdi seemed destined to lose his first fight on Saturday night at the Jake Paul vs. Mike Perry undercard. However, Bahdi had other plans. In the sixth round of the bout at Amalie Arena in Tampa, Florida, he landed a perfect left hook that sent Ashton Sylve crashing to the mat.
The knockout was a stunning moment, with Bahdi losing just about every minute of the matchup until that point. The 17-0 fighter, who has now won all but two of his fights via knockout, showed incredible skill and determination to pull off the win.
Sylve, who entered the night with an 11-0 record and 9 KOs, was down for quite some time as medical staff tended to him. He eventually moved to a stool in the ring before congratulating Bahdi and walking off the floor under his own power. As a precaution, he was transported to a local hospital.
The Bahdi-Sylve 10-round lightweight battle came ahead of Paul’s match with Perry, which was scheduled after Paul’s fight with Mike Tyson was cancelled. Tyson, 58, experienced a health issue on a flight earlier this year, pushing the bout to November at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
Bahdi’s win is a testament to his skill and resilience in the ring. With a record of 17-0, he is now one of the top contenders in the lightweight division.
