Charly Boy Vows to Divorce Wife if Kamala Harris Loses US Presidential Election

Maverick Nigerian singer, Charles Oputa, popularly known as Charly Boy, has made a bold statement regarding the upcoming United States presidential election. In a recent social media post, Charly Boy declared that he will divorce his wife of 47 years if Kamala Harris, the current Vice President of the United States, fails to win the election.

According to reports, President Joe Biden stepped down as the Democratic Party candidate on Sunday and endorsed Harris as the party’s flagbearer. Reacting to this development, Charly Boy expressed his support for Harris, stating that America deserves its first Black Female President after having its first Black Male President in Barack Obama.

In his post, Charly Boy described Harris as his “crush” and vowed to divorce his wife if she doesn’t win the election. He wrote, “If dis my crush, Kamala Harris no win the USA presidential election, I swear, I go divorce my wife of 47yrs.” He also emphasized that America deserves a Black Female President, saying, “After the first Black Male President, America deserves the first Black Female President.”

It’s worth noting that Kamala Harris has yet to be officially nominated as the Democratic Party’s candidate, despite Biden’s endorsement. However, she has secured over a quarter of the delegates needed to win the Democratic Presidential nomination so far, according to The Hill.

Charly Boy’s bold statement has sparked controversy and raised questions about the singer’s motivations for supporting Harris. While some have commended his enthusiasm for the presidential candidate, others have criticized his decision to make such a drastic promise.

Regardless of the reactions, Charly Boy’s statement serves as a reminder of the importance of voter engagement and the impact that individual actions can have on the outcome of elections.
