Realme 13 Pro Series Set to Launch with AI-Powered Camera Features
Realme is gearing up to launch its highly anticipated 13 Pro series on July 30, and the company has been teasing the new phones on social media. The Realme 13 Pro and 13 Pro+ will feature advanced AI-powered camera capabilities that promise to enhance the overall camera experience.
I had the chance to try out the Realme 13 Pro+ ahead of its launch and test out the AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity features. These innovative tools are designed to improve the quality of camera output, making it easier to edit and enhance photos.
The Realme 13 Pro+ boasts a triple rear camera setup, which includes a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-701 primary rear camera with an f/1.88 and OIS, a 50-megapixel Sony LYT-600 sensor for telephoto duties with 3x optical zoom support, and an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera.
AI Eraser Feature
The AI Eraser feature is a common feature in many flagship phones today, and Realme’s implementation is impressive. I tested the feature on multiple photos, and the results were pretty good. The AI manages to remove most objects and people in one go, although it may take a few tries to get the desired result. The feature also requires an active internet connection to work.
AI Ultra Clarity Feature
The AI Ultra Clarity feature is designed to enhance the resolution and clarity of blurry photos. I tested this feature with zoomed-in shots in 6x and 10x digital zoom and found it to be somewhat effective in improving clarity. However, I noticed that removing noise from an image didn’t always make a blurry image clearer. Zoomed-in images of text were less readable after the AI did its work. In some instances, the feature did produce a cleaner image, but the difference wasn’t always massive.
Conclusion
Realme’s AI-powered camera features, including the AI Eraser and AI Ultra Clarity, are impressive and work as promised. The features are similar to those found on Google’s Magic Eraser and Samsung’s Galaxy AI, and Realme’s implementation is just as effective. The Realme 13 Pro series is set to launch on July 30, and we can’t wait to see how these innovative camera features perform in real-world use.
