Head of Nigerian Civil Service Calls for Synergy Between Political Aides and Civil Servants
In a bid to strengthen public relations and enhance effective service delivery, Dr. Folasade Yemi-Esan, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, has called for synergy among political aides and civil servants. She made this call at a one-day sensitization workshop for senior ministerial advisers held in Abuja.
Dr. Yemi-Esan emphasized the importance of a harmonious working relationship between the Office of the Honorable Ministers, who represent the President and Nigerian workers, to ensure the full implementation of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda. She stressed that the country is at a critical point in its journey towards national development, and it is the responsibility of those in leadership positions to support the implementation of policies and programs that will secure the future of the nation.
The workshop aimed to build capacity among senior ministerial advisers to help each ministry achieve its mandate, strategic objectives, and targets. The event covered various areas, including revised public service rules, financial regulations, Public Procurement Act, Ethical Codes of Conduct, and Public Service, Administrative Procedure, and Management Reforms.
