Cardi B Outsales Nicki Minaj in US, Earns Top Spot Among Female Rappers

Cardi B Ousts Nicki Minaj as US’ Highest-Certified Female Rapper

In a milestone achievement, Cardi B has officially surpassed her rival, Nicki Minaj, in the United States, becoming the highest-certified female rapper in US history. According to data from the Recording Industry of America (RIA), Cardi B has sold a whopping 107 million units, while Minaj has sold 106 million units.

Interestingly, Minaj has sold more records than Cardi B, but most of her hits were features that weren’t credited to her on the RIA site. This milestone marks a significant achievement for Cardi B, who has been making waves in the music industry with her chart-topping hits and chart-busting performances.

Meanwhile, Alicia Keys has earned her first-ever diamond single in the US with her 2009 collaborative hit with JAY-Z, ‘Empire State of Mind’. The song, which has sold 10 million units in the United States, has become JAY-Z’s third diamond single, joining ‘N****s In Paris’ with Kanye West and ‘Umbrella’ with Rihanna.

On the other side of the Atlantic, Eminem received the Brit Billion Award for becoming the best-selling American rapper in the United Kingdom with 7 billion UK career streams. The award, shared on Twitter by BRIT, featured a picture of Eminem holding the prestigious award.

This remarkable achievement showcases the incredible talent and dedication of these musical icons, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds for them and the music industry as a whole.
