Kevin Hart’s “Chocolate Droppa” Alter Ego Steals the Show at Kai Cenat’s Annual AMP House Freestyle Cypher
Comedian Kevin Hart, also known as his musical alter ego “Chocolate Droppa,” made a triumphant return to the stage at Kai Cenat’s annual AMP House freestyle cypher on Sunday, July 28. Hart took to Instagram earlier that day, posting an image of himself posing with the content creators in a parody of the XXL Freshman Freestyle aesthetic, drumming up excitement for the event.
As the night unfolded, Hart’s “Chocolate Droppa” alter ego grabbed the microphone after Kai’s impressive Lil Yachty impression, and he didn’t give it back. In his comedic rap, Hart referenced J. Cole, Drake, and Kendrick Lamar, rapping about the “Big 3” and spitting bars like “All this talk about the Big 3, f*k that, them not me?/ Goddamn, I’m mad/ Oh sht, you sad?/ Well, it’s time to get glad, ’cause I’m back and I’m really mad.”
Hart also referenced the song of the summer, “Not Like Us,” rhyming “Sometimes you gotta pop out and show ni**as. I guess this is my pop-out.” In a surprising twist, he then began rapping in a foreign language, which appears to be Cantonese, showcasing his bilingual skills.
After his performance, Hart took the mic and walked away, insisting, “You don’t get the mic back after I just did what I did to it. This mic got to be burnt,” and exited the rooftop. The event also featured verses from streamers Duke Dennis, chrisnxtdoor, Agent 00, ImDavisss, and Fanum.
Additionally, Kai Cenat addressed the viral moment of Tyla “friend-zoning” him in his verse, rapping “I got a coupe, but its a Bez tho, kept it player even when she tell me that ‘we friends tho.'”
