Google Pixel Product Launch: What to Expect
Excitement is building ahead of Google’s upcoming Pixel product launch on August 13, which promises to reveal several new products, including the highly anticipated Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, and Pixel 9 Pro XL smartphones. But that’s not all – the tech giant is also rumored to unveil a new Pixel 9 Pro Fold model and the Pixel Watch 3 series.
According to a massive leak by Android Headlines, which includes official promo images, the Pixel Watch 3 will be available in two case sizes: 41mm and 45mm. While the box contents may not change significantly compared to the Pixel Watch 2, the promotional images suggest that both smartwatches will feature the same core hardware, apart from a slightly bigger display and larger battery on the 45mm variant.
Both smartwatch variants are expected to have an ‘Actua’ display with a peak brightness of 2,000 nits, which is twice as bright and more responsive than previous models. The promo images also reveal that the Pixel Watch 3 will offer 24 hours of battery life (with always-on display) and up to 36 hours of battery life in Battery Saver mode.
In terms of new features, users of the Pixel Watch 3 can expect to be able to control the Pixel Camera app on their smartphones, view Nest Cam or Nest Doorbell feeds, access maps offline, and make payments using Wallet. The new watch models will also allow users to build custom runs and save workouts, as well as receive a Morning brief feature that delivers a summary of their health and fitness metrics.
Apart from the Google Pixel smartphones and the Pixel Watch 3 series, the company is also expected to announce a new Google TV streaming box and a Nest Thermostat. With the Pixel Watch 3 series, Google is likely to maintain its position as a major player in the wearable technology market, offering a premium smartwatch experience that integrates seamlessly with its other products.
