Vivo X200 Flagship Phone Spotted: Key Specifications Revealed
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has posted alleged specifications of an upcoming Vivo flagship phone, which is believed to be the Vivo X200. The post didn’t mention the exact name of the phone, but comments on the post indicate that it’s talking about the standard Vivo X200. This comes as a surprise, given that the Vivo X100, its predecessor, was launched in January in India.
According to the post, the Vivo X200 will feature a 50-megapixel Sony customized super-large bottom main camera, accompanied by a 3x mid-range telephoto lens. It is tipped to have a 1.5K resolution panel from a domestic Chinese manufacturer and will come with narrow bezels. Additionally, Vivo is said to use high-density silicon on the large battery of the Vivo X200, although there is no mention of battery capacity.
Few details about the Vivo X200 lineup surfaced from the same source last month, which indicated that both the standard and Pro models will pack MediaTek’s unannounced Dimensity 9400 chipset under the hood. The Pro model is rumored to carry an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for authentication.
For context, the Vivo X100 has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display, runs on MediaTek Dimensity 9300 SoC with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and Vivo V2 chip, and features a Zeiss-branded triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary Sony IMX920 VCS bionic main camera. It carries a 32-megapixel selfie shooter and has a 5,000mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging.
The Vivo X200 is expected to build upon the success of the Vivo X100, which started at a price of Rs. 63,999 for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant in India. With these specifications, the Vivo X200 could be a formidable competitor in the flagship smartphone market.
