APC Plans Nationwide March in Support of Buhari and State Governor

APC Chairman Announces Solidarity Marches Across Cross River State

In a move aimed at showing support for the President and state governor, the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Cross River State, Alphonsus Eba, has announced that the party has secured police permits to hold marches in all 196 political wards of the state.

Eba made the announcement during an interaction with journalists at the APC Secretariat in Calabar, stating that the marches will take place over a period of 14 days. According to him, party officials and registered members will participate in the marches, which will begin on August 1st.

The APC Chairman emphasized that the marches are a show of solidarity with the President and state governor, who he believes have brought positive change to the state. "We are embarking on a solidarity march in support of Mr President’s and our amiable state governor’s feats in office, which have altogether changed the backward strides and charted positive and progressive dividends for Nigerians," he said.

However, Eba also warned that those who may be misguided and cause trouble during the marches will be handled by the security agencies, who will lead them to psychiatric and other confined homes.

The APC’s decision to hold marches across the state comes amid a nationwide protest, which has seen widespread demonstrations and calls for change. The party’s move is seen as an attempt to counter the protest and show its support for the government.

The marches are expected to take place in designated routes in Calabar, with the APC Chairman leading the way. The party’s officials and registered members will also participate in similar marches in their respective local government and wards.

The development is a significant one in the political landscape of Cross River State, and it remains to be seen how the public will react to the APC’s decision to hold marches in support of the government.
