APC Chieftains Warn Against Protests in Oyo State, Urge Patience with Tinubu’s Administration
In a recent event held in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have cautioned against protests in the state, citing the potential dangers involved. The APC leaders, including Kolawole Raji and former members of the House of Representatives, made this declaration while addressing a gathering of youths in the state.
According to Raji, who spoke on behalf of his colleagues, the meeting aimed to sensitize the youths about the dangers of the planned protest and discuss the state of the nation. He emphasized that President Bola Tinubu has recorded significant achievements in areas such as local government autonomy, student loan, and infrastructural development.
Raji acknowledged that the current situation in Nigeria is challenging, but urged the people to give Tinubu’s administration more time to address the issues. He assured that Nigeria would become great under Tinubu’s leadership, as the president is committed to addressing the challenges methodically.
The APC chieftains appealed to the youths not to join the protest scheduled for the next day, citing the dangers involved. They warned that protesting in the state at this time is not advisable and urged the people to exercise patience and understanding.
The event aimed to sensitize APC members to the potential ills of the planned protest and to discuss the state of the nation. The APC leaders emphasized the need for unity and cooperation to overcome the challenges facing the country.
As the situation in Nigeria continues to unfold, it remains to be seen how the APC’s message will be received by the public. However, one thing is clear – the party’s leaders are urging patience and understanding, and warning against the dangers of protests in the state.
