Breaking News: P-Square’s Paul Okoye Opens Up on Split with Twin Brother Peter

In a shocking revelation, Paul Okoye, one half of the legendary duo P-Square, has confirmed that he has parted ways with his twin brother Peter. The news comes after Peter announced that he was no longer interested in the group.

In an exclusive interview with City FM, Paul Okoye revealed that the group had creative differences over how they wanted to make their music, which ultimately led to their split. When asked if P-Square is good right now, Paul replied in the negative.

Paul shared that Peter sent him a message saying he was no longer interested and that he wants to quit. He also revealed that Peter requested that they don’t make the split public, but Paul was not comfortable with this decision as he didn’t want to be labeled the bad person if he chooses to reactivate his solo career.

Paul further shared that Peter petitioned him and their older brother Jude Okoye to the EFCC, who invited him in, reflecting how badly his relationship with his brother has deteriorated. However, Paul was cleared of any financial misappropriation by the EFCC.

Paul also revealed that he has over 200 songs lying around and wants to resume his career as Rudeboy, boasting that he wrote 99% of their songs as P-Square. The award-winning duo got back together in 2021 and released two tracks ahead of a new album.

The latest split marks another low point in the relationship of the iconic duo, one of the biggest music stars to emerge from Africa. You can watch Paul Okoye’s full interview with City FM below.
