50 Cent Reflects on Past Feuds, Calls Past Beef "Wasted Time"
Veteran rapper 50 Cent has never shied away from sharing his opinions, and in a new interview, he has been reflecting on his past beefs and feuds with notable figures in the Hip-Hop world.
Speaking with journalist Mesfin Fekad for The Hollywood Reporter, 50 Cent expressed his current thoughts on past disputes, stating that he has come to realize that some feuds were "wasted time". The 59-year-old hip-hop legend explained that he, Fat Joe, and Cam’ron could have cleared up their differences more quickly.
"We wasted too much time arguing, me and Fat Joe, me and Cam’ron," 50 Cent stated. "There’s other guys like Jada[kiss], we cleared it up easier. But we wasted time because it was just the competitive nature."
50 Cent explained that his rivalry with Fat Joe lasted longer than he would have liked. "It went on more with Joe because he’s more like me, he’s closer in character to me," he said. "When we’re at odds, we are at odds, and we did that for a long time."
Despite his past beef, 50 Cent expressed that he and Fat Joe now have a friendly relationship, saying, "When you look back at it, you go, ‘Wait, what happened?’ Because we didn’t even have no altercation or no specific thing that created it. Now he’s like my friend, and I don’t care that he has relationships with people that I don’t, because he’s always had those relationships."
The rapper’s comments come amidst his ongoing feud with Ja Rule, who he has been disputing for years. When asked if he has ever spoken to the "Mesmerize" performer, 50 Cent simply responded with a "nah".
Elsewhere in the interview, 50 Cent discussed his success in television, his upcoming 50th birthday, and his relationship with his child’s mother, Daphne Joy Narvaez.
