Vivo X200 Series Expected to Launch as Successor to Vivo X100 Lineup
Vivo is reportedly working on a new smartphone series, the Vivo X200, which is expected to succeed the Vivo X100 lineup. Although the Vivo X100 and X100 Pro were launched in India in January this year, they were initially unveiled in China in November 2023 and globally in December. The company has yet to confirm the launch of the Vivo X200 series, but rumors have been circulating about its design and features.
A leaked dummy unit of the Vivo X200 shared on Weibo by tipster Experience More shows the device’s design. The rear camera module is situated within a centrally placed circular module surrounded by a silver ring. The Vivo X200 also features a slightly curved display with very slim uniform bezels. The front camera is positioned in a centred hole-punch slot at the top of the panel, while the bottom edge houses a speaker grille, a USB Type-C port, a mic, and a SIM tray slot.
Earlier leaks suggest that the Vivo X200 could come with a 50-megapixel customised Sony main camera, a 3x mid-range telephoto lens, and a 1.5K display.
Meanwhile, another tipster, Digital Chat Station, claims that the Vivo X200 Pro may feature a battery with a capacity larger than 6,000mAh. To mitigate concerns about the phone’s weight and thickness, the company may use fibreglass material for the body, similar to the Vivo X Fold 3 series handsets. The Vivo X200 Pro is also expected to come with a MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, and a triple rear camera unit including a periscope lens. Additionally, the phone may feature a 6.7 or 6.8-inch slightly curved 1.5K display.
While these details have not been officially confirmed by Vivo, fans of the brand are eagerly awaiting more information about the upcoming devices.
