Edo Queens Bolster Team with 14 New Signings for CAF Women’s Champions League

In a move to strengthen their Squad, Nigerian champions Edo Queens has signed 14 new players ahead of the CAF Women’s Champions League qualifier. The team has been preparing rigorously in Uzuaire, Edo State, with the new addition expected to make a significant impact in their championship bid.

The 14-new-signings will be part of the squad that will compete in Group B of the competition, which features top teams from Burkina Faso’s Omnisports Etincelle FC, Ghana’s Hassacas Ladies and AS Garde Nationale of Niger.

Edo Queens will kick off their qualifying campaign on Sunday, August 11, against Omnisports Etincelle FC, before taking on Hassacas Ladies three days later. Their final group game will see them face AS Garde Nationale on Saturday, August 17, all match-ups set to take place at Cote d’Ivoire’s famed Champroux Stadium.

The Cote d’Ivoire-hosted competition is scheduled to run from August 10 to 23, 2024.
