Simone Biles Leads the Charge Against Trump, Lebron James Joins In with “Black Goat”

Simone Biles Strikes Back at Donald Trump, and LeBron James Cheers Her On

In a series of tweets, Simone Biles, the renowned American gymnast, took a veiled shot at former President Donald Trump, and LeBron James was quick to echo her sentiments.

Biles’ winning streak began when she helped Team USA clinch the gold in women’s artistic gymnastics at the 2024 Paris Olympics. Her impressive performance was just the beginning, as she went on to win the all-around gold in individual events.

In a tweet shared by Ricky Davila, Trump was quoted as saying, “Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning Gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her black job.” This statement, which implied that Biles’ success was due to her ethnicity, did not go unnoticed. In response, Biles quote-tweeted Davila, saying, “I love my black job.” Although the tweet has since been deleted, the message was clear: Biles would not let Trump’s derogatory remarks go unchallenged.

LeBron James, a fellow prominent figure who has previously clashed with Trump, was swift to support Biles. He quote-tweeted her response with the goat emoji, essentially giving his stamp of approval. James has also faced criticism from Trump in the past, calling him “U bum” on Twitter in 2017.

Biles’ decision to push back against Trump is not surprising, given her past experiences. She has been the subject of intense media scrutiny and has faced criticism from former teammates and rival gymnasts. Despite this, Biles has consistently demonstrated her poise and confidence on the world stage.

As the 2024 Paris Olympics continue, it is clear that Simone Biles is not just focused on winning gold medals – she is also determined to speak her mind and stand up for herself and her community.
