According to reports, the protest, which was aimed at demanding an end to bad governance, turned violent, leading to the death of two persons, injuries to many others, and the looting of properties worth millions of Naira across the state.

The Police Command arrested 68 violent protesters in Dutse, Kiyawa, Kazaure, and Babura Local Government Areas (LGAs), while also recovering 49 bags of looted fertilizer, 15 bundles of mosquito nets, and other valuable items.
