Cynthia Ebuka Obi-Uchendu Desires Third Child to be a Boy

Big Brother Naija Host’s Wife Reveals Desire for a Boy as Third Child

Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, the wife of Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, the popular host of Big Brother Naija, has opened up about her desire to have a boy as her third child. In an interview on the Mum’s Next Door podcast, Cynthia shared her thoughts on expanding her family.

The couple, who tied the knot in February 2016, already have two daughters, Jeweluchi and Irubinachi. When asked if she still wants to have another baby, Cynthia replied, "Yes, I definitely want one more child. I have 2 girls now so my prayers will be to have a boy."

Cynthia’s decision to have a boy is not a surprise, given the societal pressure to have a balanced family with both boys and girls. However, what’s interesting is that her husband, Ebuka, initially wanted to stop at one child due to the high cost of raising a child. According to Cynthia, Ebuka’s concern was about being able to give their child the best, citing school fees and other expenses as reasons for his hesitation.

Despite her husband’s initial reservations, Cynthia is confident that he will be just as obsessed with their third child as he is with their current two. "He said school fees, everything is so expensive so one is fine. But now, he is obsessed with our children and I’m sure if we have the third he will equally be obsessed," she said.

It’s clear that Cynthia is looking forward to expanding her family and giving her husband a chance to experience the joys of having a son. With her husband’s newfound enthusiasm, it’s likely that the couple will soon welcome their third child, a boy, into their family.
