Victony Shares Remarkable Recovery Journey After Ghastly Car Accident
Nigerian singer Victony has made a remarkable recovery from a devastating car accident that left him unable to walk for a period. In an exclusive interview at the Afroland festival, Victony opened up about his medical journey, expressing gratitude and praise for his blessings.
The car accident, which occurred last year, left Victony in a coma for four days. Despite the severity of the injuries, the singer has made an astonishing recovery, going from being nearly unable to walk to performing energetically on stage.
During the interview, host Adesope noted Victony’s remarkable transformation, saying, "I was recording you when you were on stage, when you were dancing the legwork and I still can’t get the challenges you went through out of my head. You went from going through that, almost not walking, to now being so free and doing what you’re doing on stage. Do you think about being blessed like that?"
Victony humbly acknowledged his blessings, saying, "Honestly, I am blessed and the whole world can see that I’m blessed. I’m still in the recovery phase but I’m still able to do this now; I’m about to go on tour."
The artist revealed that he has undergone four surgeries and is set to have one more after his upcoming tour. Despite the ongoing recovery process, Victony expressed his gratitude, saying, "Going to the hospital and seeing other people there but I go in and out and do my thing. I take pain relievers before I go on stage and I still record. I feel blessed and I thank God for his grace; it’s not by power. I’m not his favourite child so I don’t know why he’s blessing me."
Victony’s incredible recovery story serves as a testament to his strength and resilience. As he continues to tour and perform, fans and well-wishers alike can’t help but be inspired by his unwavering faith and determination.
