Taylor Swift and TikTok Rekindle Partnership, Bringing Fans Closer to the Star

Taylor Swift and TikTok have put their past differences behind them, and the social media platform is now expanding its partnership with the global superstar. This new collaboration comes after Swift’s music was temporarily removed from the platform due to negotiations between TikTok and Universal Music Group (UMG). However, the two parties have since reached an agreement, restoring all UMG music to TikTok.

Fans of Swift can now participate in weekly challenges tied to the remainder of her world tour. By completing these challenges, users can earn special profile frames, themed beads, and even create their own virtual friendship bracelets to show their support for Swift and the Eras Tour. To participate, fans can click on the Taylor Swift anchor on TikTok or select banners that appear with related search terms.

This new era of connection between TikTok and Swift comes after the successful collaboration on her latest album, The Tortured Poets Department. The previous partnership required fans to follow Swift and her official fanbase, Taylor Nation, add the song "Fortnight (feat. Post Malone)," and promote the album by posting a video tagged "#TheTorturedPoetsDepartment" to unlock a special profile picture banner. Swift also forged numerous partnerships to promote the album, including a "library installation" with Spotify, an emoji gimmick with Instagram, and curated playlists for Apple Music.

The Tortured Poets Department has spent eight weeks at the top of the Billboard 200 chart, and the remainder of Swift’s tour has already sold out. With this new partnership, Swift will continue to engage with her fans and boost her streaming numbers.
