Victony Opens Up About His Battle with Health Issues, Reveals Multiple Surgeries and Pain Management
Nigerian singer Victony has shared a personal and inspiring story about his struggles with health issues, revealing that he has undergone four surgeries and is preparing for another one. The talented artist opened up about his experiences during an interview on the Adesope live segment at the Afroland festival.
Victony’s journey began in 2021 when he survived a severe car accident that left him in a coma for four days. Despite the life-threatening ordeal, the singer has made a remarkable recovery and is now preparing to embark on a North America tour.
However, Victony’s road to recovery has not been without its challenges. He has undergone four surgeries, with another one scheduled after his tour. Despite the physical and emotional toll, Victony remains optimistic and grateful for his blessings.
"I’m still in the recovery phase, but I’m still able to do this now. And I’m about to go on tour," Victony said. "Thinking about last year, even up until recently, I have done four surgeries and I am still going to do one more after the tour. But it’s still a blessing. Going in and out of the hospital."
The singer also revealed that he takes pain relievers before performing on stage to manage his pain, but despite the challenges, he continues to record music and share his talents with the world.
"I thank God for his grace, it is not by power. I’m not his favourite child so I don’t know why he is blessing me," Victony said humbly.
This announcement comes after Victony took a two-month break from music in February 2023 to focus on his health and recovery.
Victony’s determination and resilience in the face of adversity serve as an inspiration to his fans and the music industry as a whole. Despite the challenges he has faced, the singer remains committed to his craft and is eager to share his music with the world.
