In August 2023, he was spotted looking unkempt and walking aimlessly on the street, with his brother Joseph revealing that he was struggling with drug addiction at the time.

The singer’s music career began at the tender age of 14, when he started drumming for a church in his hometown of Delta State. He later ventured into the music industry professionally after being discovered at a talent show in Ajegunle, Lagos.
