Zion Refuses to Leave Big Brother Naija with Girlfriend Chinwe
Big Brother Naija Season 9 contestant Zion has taken a bold stance, saying his enraged girlfriend and partner, Chinwe, can exit the show, but he won’t follow suit, despite being a pair.
The drama unfolded on Thursday night when Chinwe threatened to leave the show after accusing Zion of throwing her under the bus to please other housemates. The following morning, she informed fellow housemate Michky of her decision to exit the show, and had already spoken to Biggie about it.
However, Zion is unfazed by Chinwe’s decision to leave, and has vowed to protest if Biggie decides to force him out alongside her, given the rules of the season, which involve contestants competing in pairs.
In a chat with Anita, Zion expressed his sentiments, saying, "This is just the second week, I shouldn’t be quenching smoke fires, because that just means that you’ve forgotten why we are here. There’s no reason why you shouldn’t go home."
He emphasized that just because they entered the show together, it doesn’t mean they have to leave together. "If she wants to go, she can go. We came here together, doesn’t mean we have to go together. If she goes to meet Biggie that she wants to go, let her say she wants to go, I didn’t say I want to go home," Zion said.
The couple’s relationship has been a central topic of discussion in the Big Brother Naija house, with many speculating about their future together. Zion’s stance on not leaving the show with Chinwe has sparked mixed reactions from fans, with some supporting his decision to prioritize his own journey on the show.
It remains to be seen how Chinwe’s exit will affect the dynamics in the Big Brother Naija house, and whether Zion will be able to navigate the challenges ahead without his partner by his side.
