Tinubu’s Government Stronger Than Ever, Says APC Chieftain

A prominent chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano, Musa Illiyasu Kwankwaso, has declared that the organizers of the EndBadGovernance protests have failed in their attempts to bring down the government of President Ahmad Bola Tinubu. Kwankwaso, a former commissioner in the government of Umar Abdullahi Ganduje, made the statement while criticizing those who instigated the nationwide protests.

According to Kwankwaso, the organizers of the protests are "enemies of the country" whose actions have political undertones but have ultimately failed. He claimed that the protesters’ main objective was to show their hatred and enmity towards President Tinubu and Vice President Kashim Shettima’s efforts to turn the country into a better place to live. Kwankwaso also accused the protesters of trying to dent the image of the duo and imply that they were responsible for the country’s hunger and starvation, when in reality, they inherited a bad government and are working to salvage the situation.

The APC chieftain further stated that the protesters’ negative antics against Tinubu and Shettima have instead made them gain more popularity. Kwankwaso’s comments come amid ongoing protests across Nigeria, with demonstrators calling for better governance and an end to corruption.

In a separate statement, Kwankwaso warned Nigerian governors against mismanaging the federal government’s N570 billion allocations to their states. He cautioned that anyone who mismanages the funds will face the wrath of God, and urged the governors to utilize the funds for the employment of youths and women in their respective states.

The APC chieftain’s comments are likely to spark controversy, as the EndBadGovernance protests continue to gain momentum across Nigeria. However, Kwankwaso’s statements serve as a reminder of the ongoing political dynamics in the country and the challenges faced by the current government.
