West Brom’s Josh Maja Makes History with Hat-Trick Debut

West Bromwich Albion’s Nigerian forward, Josh Maja, has made a stunning impression in his debut season, scoring a remarkable hat-trick in the team’s 3-1 victory over Queen Park Rangers at the MATRADE Loftus Road on Saturday.

The 24-year-old striker became the first player in Albion’s history to score three goals in the opening game of a league season since Alf Bentley in the 1913-1914 season. Maja’s impressive display has earned him praise from West Brom manager, Carlos Corberán.

"Josh Maja has had a very good level of impact on the game because it is not easy to score three goals, and all three had a lot of quality," Corberán said in a statement on the club’s official website. "However, with Josh Maja, after one season without playing many games, we have to manage his minutes well and this is one of the positions we need to strengthen because we need to protect every single player."

Maja’s hat-trick debut has set the tone for West Brom’s new season, and fans are eager to see what the talented striker will bring to the table in the coming weeks. With Corberán’s praise and encouragement, Maja is sure to continue making waves in the English football league.
